What does my dog need carbohydrates?Updated 5 months ago
Dogs, similar to humans, require carbohydrates for energy. However, for sustained energy, an appropriately balanced combination of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats is ideal; an unbalanced mix may be suboptimal. Fats offer the highest energy per unit. According to BARF principles, the necessary carbohydrates should come from biologically appropriate sources, such as ground vegetables.
